And now the question and the dilemma... Do I sell Landy or not? Wifey has now tasted off-road, good dirt roads and discovering new scenes. So, shall we sell Landy and buy a newer double-cab 4x4, so we can go searching and adventuring more often? Not a bad idea; especially seeing as this will also provide for easier long distance mission trips. LORD guide and provide to Your glory please!

Landy does a dirty
A couple of days ago... about a week and a half after Landy became legal... We, (Landy & I... with Boetie Hanno tagging along), went out for a stroll together.
Landy was desperately wanting to try out his legs... just to see if they still worked. Especially seeing as it had been... how many years?
Four years of refurbishment + something years of standing at his previous home before I bought him = let's call it 6 years.
And so we looked up 'Jachtvlakte' just outside Uitenhage.
The ideal place for a Landrover - or any 4X4 for that matter - to stretch its legs.
Satisfied? Disappointed? Overjoyed?
Ja, sommer some of everything!
Diff-lock would've been nice on some spots, but hey! Landy did himself proud.
Landy was muddy, McGyver had fun! What more can one ask for.
Ask Hanno.
Thanks to Hanno for the pic's! (Visit www.perfectpic.co.za to see more of his work)
Great job Boet!

Landy is Legal!
Praise God! Landy went through the roadworthy without a hitch! It's been 4 long years... interesting, busy yet long years; of hard work, frustration, joy, hectic learning curves, discovery and much more. And now the day has finally arrived where, with much nervousness I drove Landy down to the testing station. And the beauty of it all, is that all I have to do to gain their 100% is to fit 2 new red reflectors to the rear.

Never been so close!
We're almost there! Landy is but days away from going for roadworthy. And the excitment builds...

Pure Christians

A question seeps into my thoughts... "Pure Christians... Are there any such people?" What is the Lord seeing at this point in His Church? Does He, who sees the heart of man, see any purity in His followers? How many of us, professing to follow Him actually walk with Him... In the ways which He laid out for us? Or, how many are saying and living along 2 vastly different paths? Too many I fear! Am I, are you?

Progress at last!
At long last I got to putting in some decent time into working on Landy. I actually finished sorting out the wiring - or shall I rather say the lighting - for the second? time. Even got to refitting the transmission tunnel. Sealed it an all. Man it's looking great! Now I still have door seals to fit, rear section headliner to refit, and then the carpeting and door trim panels. It's getting VERY close to completion. And how I'm looking forward to that!
